#Motu 828 mk 2 pro
The clock is not the same as C77 and the converter are not the same like Rosetta or Symphony (the pro Apogee Models are the best for audio. also the Ensamble is too expensive compared with the Motu MK3 features!!Īll Apogee doesn't support aggregate device and this is one of the major issue that makes me out to buy it I'm now waiting for the new MK3 that comes very soon in my Recording Studio 🙂Īpogee Duet is little more than a toy for my needs with its -10db-vu output and Clock sync limitation I'm working with Motu interfaces from 2001 (I have also a Motu MK1 that works fine) It really didnt sound as good as what is out today. Hesitant to buy another product from them.My 828mk2 is resting in my garage, gathering dust and I really not interested in trying to get it working again. In Stock Add to Basket Buy with Finance Options. Motu also has the mk3 out but, after my 828mk2 died, I was a little MOTU 828 MK3 Hybrid USB FireWire Audio Interface, B-Stock 120. say goodbye to erratic behavior andĬheck out the Ensemble or a Duet. This has turned out to be the best sound I have had recording desktop style. MOTU 828mk3 Hybrid FireWire and USB Audio Interface Features: 28 inputs and 30 outputs (at 44. I was working on something that was due the next morning and it finally would not get past it's own little boot up.so in my haste, I bought an Ensemble from Apogee.
#Motu 828 mk 2 series
My Motu 828mk2 finally died after a series of FW issues including Crashing my previous machine ( G5 ) Is there some sort of Logic Channel Re- Routing guide somewhere for using both 5.1 & stereo with a 828mk2. Please can any one help !!!? I've got my knickers in a major twist? the standard stereo sound file has no sound routed to it for a "bounce". as it's playing back through the L & R monitors of my 5.1 studio monitors (from 3 & 4 in Logic!). I can't bounce a standard stereo mix out of Stereo Outputs (1&2).

but the idea of choosing Outputs 3 & 4 to bounce a standard stereo audio file out of Logic seems totally nuts.?!
#Motu 828 mk 2 mac osx
My Mac OSX stereo sound (eg iTunes) is playing out of the 828 by choosing OSX System Prefs Sound - "MOTU 828". I haven't bothered attempt a 5.1 bounce yet as what ends up in the resulting 6 audio files will certainly not work when mixing previous 5.1 mixes. I've got a surround mix happily playing out of all six Logic channels and correctly playing back out of the right 828 analogue outs with Logic Prefs I/O Assignments like this: but can it be that the MOTU 828 mk 2 designers made it impossible to use for Logic users working in surround. However I can't sort out a basic output routing in the 828 mk 2 for what should be straight forward? monitoring and bouncing was simple and obvious. and ordinary stereo came out of Logic via channels 1 & 2 into 1 & 2 of the 828 mk 1. 5.1 surround came out of Logic Audio Channel Outputs 1-6 then via the Firewire went into the 828 mk 1 and out of the corresponding channels. The Mk I input & output channels seemed so obvious to set up in Logic I/O prefs. I'm setting up a MOTU 828 Firewire Mk II after my Mk I just went down.
#Motu 828 mk 2 how to
Is anyone aware of a web link for a guide of MOTU 828 mkII I/O's using Logic 9? The 828 mkII manual doesn't make mention of how to assign Logic Inputs or Outputs in relation to the MOTU 828 channels and "bouncing".

Apologies if this is a blast from the past for many of you.
